Developed from current research and a decade's worth of experiences assisting communities in response to large-scale disasters, Triumph Over Tragedy, Second Edition focuses on helping individuals and communities cope with the emotional impacts of disaster events. This DVD and CD training curriculum is an extension of the Triumph Over Tragedy, 2nd Edition training manual. These "train-the-trainer" materials will benefit Extension professionals engaged in disaster preparation and response, and were utilized by Extension agents in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama following Hurricane Katrina. The Are You Ready? video was developed from the 1998 Disaster Preparedness Satellite Videoconference and is available as part of The Disaster Handbook - 1998 National Edition. The complete set, including 1000+ pages of disaster information, a CD-ROM, and the video can be purchased for $100.
